ELAU, a Schneider Electric company, developed the PacDrive automation system specifically for packaging machines. A PacDrive machine runs on a central MotionLogic controller (rack or PC based) that coordinates SERCOS servo drives and integrated servo motor-drives, with HMI panels for the operator and ready-made CAM and template libraries for typical packaging functions.
PacDrive is widely used on machines for pharmaceuticals and healthcare, beverage and dairy, dry and liquid food, chocolate and confectionery, tissue and towel, and personal, home and beauty care products.
NSPL supplies PacDrive components, engineers PacDrive applications and supports PacDrive machines already installed in the region — including spares, repair and upgrade paths for older generations.
