Paper & Printing

NSPL engineers drive and control systems for paper converting and printing machinery — slitting, rewinding, cut-to-length, die cutting and printing presses — where web tension, register and synchronisation between sections determine quality and waste.

Industry challenges

  • Web tension and diameter control during winding and unwinding
  • Print register between stations
  • Cut-to-length accuracy on corrugated and converting lines
  • Synchronisation of multiple line sections without line shafts

Web handling and register

Converting and printing lines are continuous processes in which every section must hold speed and tension relative to its neighbours. NSPL works on electronic line-shaft replacement, winding with tension or diameter control, register correction and cut-to-length systems.
