Solution

Process Automation & Instrumentation

NSPL connects process sensors, indicators, counters and controllers with machine and plant control systems — measuring and controlling speed, position, flow, temperature and other process variables, and making that data available to operators and supervisory systems.

Outcomes

  • Reliable measurement of process variables at the machine
  • Local display and limit monitoring for operators
  • Signals converted and conditioned so different devices can work together
  • Process data available to PLC, SCADA or data systems

From sensor to control system

Process automation at the machine level depends on reliable measurement and clean signals. Mixed signal levels (TTL, HTL, analogue, serial, fieldbus), long cable runs and multiple consumers of one encoder signal are common causes of intermittent faults.

NSPL’s work in this area includes selecting indicators, monitors and converters, designing signal paths, integrating process instruments with PLCs and machine controls, and making the data available for operators and supervisory systems.

Typical applications

  • Speed, standstill and direction monitoring
  • Length, position and cut-to-length counting
  • Flow measurement in coating and lacquering processes
  • Process indication and alarm limits on panels

Frequently asked questions

Can process sensors and machine controls be combined in one project?

Yes. Many production lines need both — for example a flow or temperature loop inside a machine that is otherwise sequence- and motion-controlled. NSPL handles the signal interfacing and integration so both sides work together.
